What I am planning for this game...
THE GAME ISN'T DEAD...
Hello all, bl0om here!
I am here to talk about what I am planning for Meltdown, as of recent uplifts in player activity which is thanks to my group in college giving the game a shot, I want to continue this game and make it into something more than just a time based platformer with precision elements, so let's get to that.
To start off with, I want to redo the art for the game, I didn't dislike the character I made before, but I felt he could be better. while I have made an idea for what the character may look like, pictured below. Ultimately, I am trying to find this medium where the game looks and functions well, which I currently haven't found.
Another part of the graphics I want to overhaul is the levels themselves, creating more than just one sprite for flooring, since ultimately, the floors are sprites with a mask over them which acts as a wall. So that is how I made it work on here.
Another thing I want to add is a somewhat functional options screen and just an overhaul to the menus as it is, since like the graphics, they were made in a rush and so I want to be able to have something there that I am proud of.
and finally this itch.io page needs to be more well, Meltdown like and as if I'm actually wanting to sell this game, so I will be making cool headers for the different sections
